Final Project Idea

Idea 1:

I’ve always enjoyed looking at kinetic toys but I felt like a lot of them are too professional—I want to create a kinetic toy that resembles nature outdoor vibe. I want people to feel like summer—warm and positive—outdoor sunshine— even if it’s depressing winter times. It would be 3D printed and include kinetic mechanism that creates specific movements you can find outdoor such as tree leaves moving. or coconut getting pulled down and up from the palm tree…

Idea 2:

I also thought about creating a wooden/3d printed toy that for adults to brainstorm. It works by balancing the wood blocks. It have the play value by forming different scenaries. Essentially it’s like a tangram but but not laid flat.

Idea 3:

sound therapy

Personally I’m interested in seeking possibility of creating toy that enhances existing sound therapy products. I was inspired by bamboo toys, which is something more traditional Chinese. I want to use pieces of bamboo and connect them so that when they hit each other, it would create naturalistic sound.
